Book by Neil Simon, Music by Cy Coleman, Lyrics by Dorothy Fields. You can’t fault a girl for trying, but Charity Hope Valentine might be guilty of trying a little too hard. Charity is hoping to be loved so much that she can’t see the forest through the trees. She searches for the perfect guy, all the while singing, dancing, and dreaming with her girlfriends as a Times Square dance hall girl. This wonderful song and dance extravaganza includes show stoppers like “Big Spender,” “If My Friends Could See Me Now,” and “There’s Gotta Be Something Better than This” and is bound to fill the Furlan Auditorium with big time Broadway Pizzazz.
