Fun Campaign Ideas
The following campaign ideas are easy, enjoyable and adaptable to different environments and time-tested ways to create interest in the campaign.

• Identify Employees Whose Children Are Involved in the Arts - theatre, choir, ballet, plays instrument, etc.- & offer opportunity to display pictures, bring in video or arrange for child to perform to Department group
• UPAF Cake
• Morning - Alterra? Starbucks? - Coffee - with donations accepted
• Donuts or Bake Sale
• Bake Sale/Cookie Exchange
• Book, CD, DVD sale - with drawing for prizes
• Auction using donated items
• Mini-Indy 500 race - use rented or borrowed remote control cars
• Decorations/Murals - use as a competition
• Small Quizzes to point out campaign facts
• Penny - Dollar Wars - break into teams and losing team has to perform.
• Building Awareness
• Executive donations auctioned or raffled off - i.e., lunch at a restaurant, event tickets, parking spots, etc.
• Bingo - Cards sold for $__ each - with cards marked as to which "round" they are eligible for. Daily emails go out with bingo numbers. 1st to win gets a prize. Then, NEW round starts.
• Any catered treats
• Car wash - by execs
• Floor or division competitions - intra-departmental
• Golf Putting contest - e.g., $5 to play, prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners
• Gift Baskets for drawing or auctioned
• Craft sale
• Host a Karaoke party
• Baby photo matching competition
• Hold a Trivial Pursuit contest using UPAF facts
• Employees guess the name of the UPAF Member Groups by following various clues
• Crazy hat day
• Flea markets / rummage sales / white elephant sales / costume jewelry "exchange"
• Comedy Hour - Invite a local comedian to donate services over the lunch hour. Have employees buy tickets to attend
• Board Game Contest - Groups of employees compete around a chosen board game. They may move their piece for every returned pledge card, for every $10 raised, for participation in Day of Caring, etc.
• Have Challenge issued by leadership team - e.g., If we meet/exceed our participation and monetary goals, members of leadership team to give "special" performances
• Daily Drawing & Daily Emails-Prize raffled each day of UPAF Campaign. Each employee gets name entered into drawing after they have pledged. You can only win once but the sooner you return your pledge, the more daily raffles you can participate in. Daily Email to announce the daily raffle winners and promote the prizes yet to be awarded.
• Baby Picture Match Up - one point for each correct name matched to correct photo. Winner gets prize.
• Movie Picture Match Up - Pictures from 20 movie scenes - from a variety of eras. One point for each correct title and for each correct actor. Extra pint if year of movie release is known. Winner gets prize.
• Silent Auction - to be held using goods or services donated by member of department's management team. List of items available ahead of time.
• Daily Trivia Contest - Each person who responds with a correct answer to have his/her name entered for - daily - prize drawing.
• Hat Day - Either create a hat or bring one in that is ready-made. The hat will be judged on a. whether it goes along with theme of "the Arts"; and b. creativity. Prizes awarded to the "TOP HAT" in each category: a. the Arts theme; and b. creativity. Prizes to winners.
• Finish that Show Tune - Gather a team of 3. Listen to a few words from a show tune, when music stops the first team to ring buzzer (or bell) gets chance to finish the show tune line. If correct, earn one point. If wrong, other teams get to buzz in. 16 show tunes to be played. Team with most points wins.
• Obstacle Course - Set up obstacle course with stations where participants have to play different instruments, put on and take off a costume and sing a song at another station. Person to complete the obstacle course the fastest wins. $2 fee to participate.
• Blackjack games. Sign up for times/dates of games. Play against the "house" for prizes.
• Song Submission - Submit songs that make you think of your Department Head or Team Leader. Winner gets prize. Then, the chosen song is to be played to (or sung to) the Department Head or Team Leader it was chosen for.
• Performing Arts Trivia Contest
• Take photo of Departmental officers from knee down, all wearing black socks - or stockings & dark colored dress shoes. Sell tickets -50 cents each- to: Idea 1: "cast a vote" for your favorite "legs" & the winner of the contest must then do a Rockette type dance number; Idea 2: Each ticket allows the owner of the ticket to try to identify all of the owners of the legs & the one coming closest to getting them all correct wins a prize. NOTE: If multiple "winners", a name is drawn from the group of winners for the prize. All in good fun!
• Collect names & photos of members of the department - or their son, daughter or other family member - who have been involved in the arts & make a display or list to allow the other department members to enjoy while LETTING OTHERS KNOW OF THE ARTS OF UPAF & THEIR EFFECT ALL OF US! - E.g., son been the lead in the school play? daughter an extra in The Nutcracker? grandkids singing Christmas carols around the piano at your house? Uncle Bob showing off his famous air guitar to Van Halen while the kids just laugh?
• Donate a talent or service to share such as:
  • Four or more free conversational foreign language lessons
  • Special dinner you prepare at your home or theirs for a small group
  • Weekend at your cottage.
  • Free week at your Timeshare.
  • Garden party & Cook-out at your house for a group.
  • Four or more hours of computer tutoring.
  • Cooking class and tasting
  • Wine Tasting at your home or theirs
• Tricycle Races
• Kiss a pig (or other farm animal)
• Balloon Toss
• Ice Cream Social
• Continental Breakfast
• Pizza party
• Department Head/lead team serving breakfast or sundaes
